
Due to the growing internet usage and data traffic, more and more customers require higher fiber count in OPGW cables without increasing the diameter of the cable. The max fiber count in OPGW supplied by SFPOC is 144 in 2006,288 in 2015 and 432 in 2020.In order to satisfy such a demand, SFPOC offers OPGW with 200 μ m fibers.
200 μm Optical Fiber helps in achieving high fiber count in an OPGW of smaller diameter providing outstanding macrobend and microbend performance for Access, Fiber-to-theHome (FTTH), enterprise networks, or any application where small bend diameters may be encountered. This fiber complies with ITU-T- G652D/G657A1 or G652B(UItra Low Loss).
Advantage
1. Same cable diameter with more fiber count(25% to 10o% increase). In such a case, there is no need for design approval process.
2. Same fiber count with smaller cable diameter.
3. Better performance under tension load.
4. Same splice performance after splicing with 250μm G652D fibers.
